Our taste in clothes and styles have always been very different, but talking today we concluded that Rosie's outfit combined probably cost less than just one of the items of clothing either of the other two of us had on. Which brings me to my point that vintage clothes, while admittedly not my usual style or choice, can not only be refreshingly different to the high-street look but can also be a lot more cost-effective! It has definately inspired me to be more open to vintage style and I have arranged a day with Rosie next week for a tour of the vintage shops around my area to hunt for more bargains....I'll keep you updated :)

A Day In The City
Today I spent some time catching up with old friends from 'back home' (Essex) seeing the sights of London. During the course of the day many different outfits caught my eye....one girl wearing a rolling stones t-shirt teamed with a black skirt, tights and plimsoles who looked the pure definition of casual chic, and surprisingly my friend rosie's choice of outfit, which consisted of a sex pistols t shirt, a black skirt from Beyond Retro, a checked shirt, tights with flat black pumps and some black-rimmed glasses; all from vintage shops in either Brick Lane or Camden. This got me thinking and comparing these types of outfits to those of mine and our friend Natalie's....mine being a combinations of black leggings; black Uggs, a white tank top under a grey and white checked shirt-dress, and a black leather jacket, all from either River Island or H&M, and Natalie dressed head-to-toe in Topshop set off with a pair of brown Ugg boots.
